How to Find Crosshairs

Before importing a crosshair you need to find one that you like the look of. You can find the best pro player crosshairs by using our crosshair page, this lists all of the crosshairs across the eSports scene. The reason we recommend selecting a pro crosshair is because they tend to be the most competitive ones, if you want to use a custom one you can always use a pro player's crosshair and then modify it to suit your needs.

To copy a crosshair using our page, simply click on the copy button. You can copy either the share code which can be imported via the game settings or the command which can be ran in your game's command console.

How to Import Crosshair Share-Codes

Each crosshair has its own share code, this is a unique string for the crosshair which contains encoded data. Share codes are very convenient because they can easily be shared and serve as an alternative to having to share a large command list. CS2 provides a built in tool in the game's settings UI to easily import crosshairs. This may be preferred for users who don't like using the console command and would rather do it with a GUI.

  1. Go to Settings → Game → Crosshair.
  2. Click Share or Import.
  3. Enter the crosshair code and click Import.

The crosshair should now have been loaded by its share code.

How to Import Crosshair Commands

You can easily copy a crosshair command into your game by using the developer command console, simply run the command in the console window to import the crosshair. This option is great if you don't have access to the share code and only the command string, but if you do have access to the share code it is preferred to use that instead.

  1. Go to your developer command console.
  2. Paste the command string and press Enter to run the command.
  3. Ensure there are no errors in the console.

Make sure your crosshair has been loaded by its command properly before you try to play.

How to Use The In-Game Crosshair Editor

Fortunately, CS2 provides a great built-in crosshair editor if you are looking for extra customization to suit your needs. You can easily customize the center dot, length, thickness, gap, and much more to make sure the crosshair looks exactly how you want it to look. Sometimes using this is a better approach than copying a crosshair from a pro or a friend. The below image shows you where in the settings you can find this utility.

Using In-Game Crosshair Editor

The in-game editor makes it very easy to further customize and refine your choice of crosshair to your own needs.

Testing it Works

Once your crosshair has been imported you should load into a private match to make sure it works. The easiest way to do this is to run the command below to quickly start up an offline game on a map like Mirage to ensure it is properly loaded before you try to play. Make sure the crosshair looks how you expect it to look and you like the feel of it. This list of steps makes it very easy:

  1. Go to the Command Console.
  2. Enter map de_mirage to start the offline game.
  3. Ensure the crosshair looks how you expect it to look.
